Finished yesterday the 1st Open Atrium Chaby with the victory of Marco Pereira (right at the photo) against Nuno Rolo (left of the photo).
Our congratulations to both finalists, as well to all the participants, for the good environment and fair play during all week.
We must highlight and congratulate in particular Marco Pereira in his return to Portugal for the great performances in last events being already qualifyed for the next Eurotour in Germany.

Started yesterday the 1st Open Atrium Chaby with the games of the 1st Qualifier.
The players through to the Final Draw after Qualifier 1 are:

Congratulations to José Almeida that made through after 2 categorical wins against José Mira and Paulo Martins. Besides those defeats the two players pull through after defeating João Timóteo and Edgar Reis.
Today after 19:30H will take place the Qualifier 2.

Once again we will sponsor a new event, the 1st Open Atrium Chaby that will take place between 29-04-2008 and 04-05-2008 at the ground level floor of the Atrium Chaby in Mem-Martins - Sintra.
This Open will be played in 8 ball mode at 6 tables Brunswick Black Wolf 7' and with a maximum of 64 players.
Time-Table:
from 29-04-2008 to 02-05-2008 the games start after 20:00H.
03-05-2008 and 04-05-2008 the games start after lunch.

It ended last night in Floresta Center (Tapada das Mercês- Sintra) the final phase of the Team Brunswick League and the great winner was Fonte Luminosa (Almada) team formed by Nuno Rolo, Rui Edgar, Hélio Castro, Bruno Fiscal e Fernando Borges with a victory over Onyx Champ (of the hall Onyx Pool) by 13-8.
An highlightg also for the performance from Coimbra team, Monumental Pool Club (3 place) and for the Ponto de Encontro (Amadora) team who reached the 4.th place.
Remarkable also the quality and balance of all the 16 teams proved by several tangential victories 13-12.
Congratulations to João Leonardo, of the Onyx Pool (Santa Iria de Azóia – Loures) for obtaining the victory in the General Regular Pool, opening the doors of Las Vegas to a last athlete to individual title. This young athlete, of only 19 years, beat in final Miguel Ferreira, also of the Onyx Pool, for conclusive 6-0.
Brilliant success proved by a great affluence of public along six days of competition and highlighted by all the participants. The choice of a public place was a success increasing to spread of the competition pool.

It ended last night, in Floresta Center (Tapada das Mercês-Sintra) the Portugal Cup with a categorical victory of Alfredo Correia (União Mucifalense – Sintra) beating José Guilherme (União Mucifalense) who deserves also our applause because of having demonstrated, along the tournament, being a tough adversary.
Alfredo Correia defeated António Neves (Hot Shot - Odivelas), in a tough semi-final disputed to the end being decided at the last game.
José Guilherme defeated in the semi-final Paul Martins (Lamosa Pool Club), demonstrating a very safe play.
So we have the first 4 at the Cup:

Congratulations to these players who again thrilled all the public with enthusiasm.
Point out also for Nuno Refacho (Lamosa Pool Club) that was consecrated National Champ, in the category of Regulars.

CARLOS M.M. TEÓFILO LDA sponsored the first Snooker Super Club Internacional Open held at the Pavilion José Caeiro in Amadora, with 128 players and a prize money of 14.700€. This was the biggest event in his type to be carried out in Portugal.
The 8 ball mode has been disputed in 12 tables Brunswick Black Wolf 7'
The winner was Manuel Gama who won in the final Aitor Barba

played the Pool Championship Finals, to determine who is going
to Las Vegas BCA. This event that was held at the Floresta Center
in Sintra, Portugal. It gathered more than 100 players all around
the country, including eight Masters (Alfredo Correia, Cláudio
Carvalho, Joaquim Veríssimo, Vitor Refacho, Paulo Martins,
Belmiro Ribeiro, José Silva e Nuno Tavares). The championship
was played in 8 Dynamo 7' Pool Tables PRO. Sponsored by: Carlos
Teófilo Billiards, Brunswick, Floresta Center and Viagens
El Corte Inglés.
