Today was signed a cooperation protocol with the Caselas Futebol Clube for the development of the club“s Table Tennis Section. Carlos M. M. Teófilo Lda. (Butterfly – Portugal) continues to work closely with the clubs and sports associations to develop and improve the Table Tennis in Portugal.

The second edition of the Jogos da Lusofonia , will be held in Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra and Almada between the 11 and 19 of July. In addition to Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, India, Macau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, Sri Lanka and Timor-Leste will also participate in
these Jogos da Lusofonia.
Over a thousand athletes are registered in athletics, basketball, football, futsal, judo, sport
for the disabled, taekwondo, table tennis, volleyball and beach - volleyball.
Table Tennis
The games will be held at Sala Tejo of the Atlantic Pavilion in Lisbon. Each country and region
participates with a selection of ten athletes. The competition will be played in singles, for male
teams, female teams, male pairs, female pairs and mixed pairs.

LUGO 2009 - The III International Open City of Lugo, had the best players in the world: The best Spanish, Francisco Sanchez (which however did not go beyond the quarter-final); In the semifinals, 2 world champions: Niels Feijen (Netherlands) and Daryl Peach (England), the legend Bustamante. The final, worthy of the occasion, was won by World Champion in the discipline (9 Ball), Daryl Peach.
Galicia, Andalusia and the Balearic Islands dominated, as always, the medals of the X Championship of Spain. In total, more than 4,500 players made LUGO the capital of national and internacional Billiards.

Following the policy long pursued by our company, the unconditional support the practice of some sports, and as representatives of the brand Butterfly was concluded in the past 19 of this month, a partnership agreement with the official Lisbon“s Tennis Table Association. Thus, we provide the best conditions to practice this form of election, as well as help in information, divulgation and consequent development, both in number of practitioners and the quality of them. Therefore, already in July, will start a beach tour, organized by the A.T.M.L. and that will have our support in the provision of all technical means, so that this initiative becomes a success, enabling all participants and supporters of this sport, moments of excellence in a healthy competition and coexistence among all present.
This will be the launch pad for a partnership that we all hope, lasting, and will certainly satisfy the most passionate, due to become possible to enjoy and benefit from the events organized by A.T.M.L. , the Product quality of Butterfly, this quality that reinforces the idea and view of most practitioners and other related to the sport, considering the Butterfly as the queen of brands.
The 29th VNEA International Pool Championships that was held May 21st to May 30th at the Rivera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Featured 6,000 league players from 33 different states, 5 Canadian Providences as well as 7 other Countries.
At the end, on the 30th of May, the organization presented the participants with an award banquet and a give away of 2 Valley Cougar Tables. And the 2010 edition, commemorating 30 years of VNEA International Pool Championships, is already in preparation!

Barbastro - 2009, from the March 20 to 22, the celebration of the National Billiards Pool-8 Final, qualifying for Las Vegas 2009, in the Congress Center. This tournament is organized by the
Spanish Confederation of Darts and Pool with the collaboration of Barbastro City Council.

After a tight end in the first category, we have a winer, is Daniel Gaspar de Alhaurin de la Torre. His rival in the final was nothing less than the player Francisco Diaz, better known as Paquito. The final level was expected, finishing with an agonistic Marker 6-5. Dani Gaspar is the player who will travel to the United States to participate in the VNEA championships which will take place in May.
The United States and Germany claimed top honours at the ITSF World Cup 2009 which took place on January 8 to 11. The tournament featured 45 men and women's national teams, drawing over 400 athletes from 30 countries worldwide.
This Championship match features the latest table soccer model from Tornado, the Tornado Platinum Edition Tour, certified with the ITSF as one of the Official Soccer tables. and the only table recognized by all the top sanctioning bodies of the sport worldwide!
